lol, the fake S63 guys are so funny.

too bad he (the poser S550 in the picture) didn't buy that car new. it may not have plates, but that car looks like it was bought from BH Benz pre-owned. the new facelifted S550's have been out for quite some time and there are tons of them rolling around with BH Benz plates. too bad this guy wasn't one of the people that could afford a facelifted S550 and had to settle with a poser pre-owned S550 AMG.

Doesnt matter who's posting... the idiot that badges his car into something its not is the person at fault here. Why would you badge your car as an AMG when it is not? Just buy an AMG, dont fake it.

Well it is a German car, who was driving it, did he have a shaved head or a tiny mustache?

Oh by the way enjoy watching the beating tonight from the Sharks! :y

E: The point of the thread is exposing the posers. I drive what I do by choice, not because I can't run out and buy a new S65 or Lambo or Ferrari. I know people that drive way nicer cars, but live in their parent's basement and park on the street.

blackbenzz 12-30-2009 05:05 PM

Had to do it! This is from another thread... Taking a pic of a watch sitting in a Benz at the dealership (look at the key) :rolf: Poser written ALL over it

I agree, but I think a poser is more a guy driving a hyundai and putting the benz emblem on the car, not some guy driving a new big body benz....he is hardly a poser.

Why is his watch an hour ahead of the cars? Someone smack him back into reality!

X2Board 12-30-2009 05:59 PM

Maybe not from the financial aspect. But if I were to badge my car with Brabus badges, without having 1 Brabus part on the car, it would basically be the same thing. Badge engineering=posing, no matter the brand in question or the product.

This week on my way to work saw a S500 AMG with quad pipes.
It was still dark out, couldn't take a picture.
Wasn't sure if the S500 comes with quad pipes or not, but they didn't look like OEMs.
Not many posers around my area, usually the real deal. I saw a C300 AMG about a year ago.

As a side note...I had a run in with a S65 back when I had my 6-series. It was dark, didn't know it was a S65 until I got a good look at it's tail pulling away...

Posing is not dependent upon the cost or model year of the car, it's dependent upon whether the appropriate badge is on it :smash:

Last week I ran across an ML350 with "V8 turbo" on the right side of the tailgate where an AMG badge would go. The left side still had the stock ML350 badge. The V8 badge was off an 55 kompressor car and the turbo badge was from a Porsche. I didn't get too close for a picture as the driver was on his phone and drifting in and out of his lane erratically.

I wish I had pictures and will be on the lookout for it again.

Cairo94507 01-01-2010 10:13 AM

I don't get it....I really don't care how many badges or emblems people put on their cars. They are only fooling themselves. As for me I have taken the badges/emblems off of every car I have bought since they starting using double stick emblem tape to secure them. For me it is just cleaner and easier to wash/wax without them. I know what I drive and don't need to try to impress anyone with a car.

There is always going to be some fool putting AMG, turbo, supercharged, M, etc. badges on their car to try to impress someone. I saw a V-6 2009 Mustang the other day in town with a hood scoop (aftermarket) and they had attached "560 HP" in chrome letters onto the scoop. The car was not even a V-8. I just smiled because he thought he was "all that" driving down the street.

How about this E55 !!! this guy is selling it more expensive because its a AMG ! this should be a E350 and thats why M people race AMG wins because they always race the FAKE one.

This Mercedes-Benz has the Hollywood or Wall Street look & feel. The friendly neighbor will not be driving this unique of a car at such a discounted AMG luxury vehicle price. As you can see from the pictures it has the E55 wheels, body, and privacy curtain. It is an executive car at the price a young executive could afford. You cannot buy elegance and prestige at a value like this very often. You get the value pricing 26 mpg on a trip for this 6 cylinder gorgeous car. If you do not need to have the V8 engine, this is an incredible value strategy that will not be on the market for long. Premium 22" custom rims command attention on whatever road this luxury car travels. Navigation System (factory). Special value pricing because the Mercedes-Benz is the E350 with the E55 AMG Sport Package.
I'm sorry - I had to paste the description as it is pure gold.

This one takes the cake. What a fool! 62K miles and priced the same as some similar mileage E55's.

wizos6 01-03-2010 01:56 AM

WOOOW!! He even has the gaul to put the v8 kompressor on the side..>Jees!!

"6 cylinder for those who dont need to have the V8"....Who the hell does not need the V8???

Mikesamg 01-03-2010 02:02 AM

I will not comment on the Hollywood or Wall street look, ok maybe I will since Wall street is just as much of a joke as this car! Lets focus on the best part and I quote

"The friendly neighbor will not be driving this unique of a car at such a discounted AMG luxury vehicle price. As you can see from the pictures it has the E55 wheels, body"

You mean the neighbor laughing because he has a real AMG, because the add is right no one will be driving suck a UNIQUE car. But the best part, as you can see it has the E55 wheels, body???? :nix:

Did I get screwed or something, I feel ripped off since mine came with tiny 19" SL65 wheels!! Anybody have an extra set of 22" E55 wheels, I need a set of OEM just in case!

I'd love to see some douche buy this and post it up as a new member! :rolf:

emoving 01-03-2010 08:59 PM

I cant believe Autotrader lst him advertise that as an E55! What a scam!

CharlyE500 01-04-2010 01:30 AM

This is very special and Funny add thats why wanna share with AMG team !
