Josh, I never had a problem disclosing my mods to anyone. There are several people who pm'd me about my mods and what I thought. I was always very open and never held back anything. My problem is if anyone should be speaking of my mods it should be me and not everyone else. Anyone who's been around racing knows there are certain rules and not talking about other peoples mod is one of them. That's just how I feel and thought I would express my wishes, whether people like it or not it's how I feel. Not trying to be drama queen about it but I just would like the respect of mentioning my own mods...not too much to ask for is it?

As best I can tell, no one else posted up your mod list - you did, in post #167. Others have just commented about things on the list you posted... maybe I just misunderstand what you're saying is "not cool" that's going on?

BTW - amazing performance outta your beast... congrats!!

To tell the truth there's only one post on here that I really didn't like and I generalized my statement. I'll leave it that and either way it's clear now what my wishes are...right?

Thanks on the congrats!

I see your point. Can't wait to see how low your beast goes this fall! From some of the comments, sounds like there are going to be a handful of folks trying to lock down the "quickest/fastest non-nitrous E55" record - should make for some exciting viewing from the peanut gallery for the rest of us.

It's definitely going to be competitive battle but in the end we are close and wish either the best. I would love nothing more than a race coming down to the driver and not the car. So many fast cars will be here this coming fall making my times now seem slow. Competition is what forces other to progress and not settle or be content with their car or abilities, it seem like this might have been that push....!! I'll have no shame in losing to some of the fastest MB's in the country, but don't count me out because I'll be right there!!!!

Somethings are best left for the track...haha. Hopefully my car will perform and not dissapoint.

Chiromikey is a great guy and helped me a ton on deciding what to go with.

I think a lot are overlooking what Alan is saying about listing his mods. It sounds so highschool to run out and tell people what he has for him. He listed what he modified not what he modified it with. He didn't mention brand names for a reason outside of the Pulley being ASP and VRP headers. He paid his own money and time to dial in his car for himself. I know for a fact he is all about helping everyone get there beast up and running faster. It's a friendly competition yes and I can vouch Alan has done nothing but give me his opinion from personal experience on what he has done to his car. That was his choice though, sorry but it even annoys me to see people answer for him. I know I don't want people speaking for him which may just run him and his knowledge off from this site. Who wants to work their butt off just for someone to copy them, no one right?

I thought an LET Flash or custom tune with 180mm pulley and HE does 11.4? I ask LET and all other tuners to bring a car with just their mods to Fomosa. What a great marketing tool, prove to me your product works? I keep seeing it in writing but I agree they have some splaining to do???

I have a few more mods than you but not 8 mph worth. I believe when I was a VR600 we were closer in mods. IMO your car should be trapping in the 123 range on a good day. Have you done anything to help reduce your drive-train loss yet? Maybe some lighter weight rims and rotors will help you pick up at least .1-.15 and a 1-2 mph. Here's a time slip done on a 60-65 degree day with the VR600 package. This was done with stock 18" chrome rims, Toyo T1R's, and with stock rotors. This would be a better comparison. Could you list your mods or pm them to me.

With a better 60' time I would have definitely been lower. Could you also post your time slip for a comparison or just list the times, 60', 1/8 times and speeds, trap, and ET.

Wow! Your times are very similar when compared. The times are very close to mine but the thing that would bug me is the little gain over your previous best run...very little with less mph.... What are your thoughts about this? If i'm not mistaken you added a custom LET tune, DR's, and headers to see less trap speeds and .05 improvement on ET's? Does this about sum it up? Not trying to stir ***** up but what does LET say?

yup i added 305 Nitto D/Rs, Evosport Headers, LET dyno retune (for headers)

dont get me wrong i can go 11.5x with a better 60' but that can all be attributed to the D/Rs rather then changes in power. both runs were done in decent temperature conditions (probably around 60*)

I guess I'm confused on why you lost mph in your trap speed if runs were done in similar conditions. You should have picked up at least a couple of mph, especially with the addition on headers and custom tune.... Either way your car runs strong and most would love to have your times. Hopefully this fall/winter you'll hit your new personal best .

I've been very fortunate so far with my car. I've only tracked it 4 times at Sacramento and once at Famoso. Out of 4 of the 5 times I ran my car I achieved a new personal best. Like I said I've been very fortunate with getting results with my mods except for when I got LET's tune. Like mentioned that was a bad day at the track and can't be blamed on the tune. My highest trap speed of the night by far was 123.4, but for the most part 121-122.

I believe all my time slips are posted on MBWorld.

1. SR= 11.7xx
2. SR= 11.5xx
3. Famoso= 11.4xx Chiromikey driving
4. SR= 12.0xx = LET's custom tune / traction was a issue
5. SR= 11.2xx = Powerchips new custom tune and more mods

Hey Alan ,

do you think it is a slight possibility you can attend Fontana July 18th at some point 6a-5p

Rick was telling me he does not think there is a 55 on the planet that can touch his "super car" as seen on "Supercars exposed" LOL. He was telling me Silver cars are faster especially in the summer? Weird eh.

If you are around we would love to have you , also maybe Thursday night if you wanna practice.

You're joking right? I can't tell Would be nice to finally see some numbers from his car besides the ones on the dyno. Jrcart will be PISSED if Rick beats his time using a heavier car with the same engine/trans lol

Hey Josh,

Damn! Are you trying to egg me on or what...!

If I end up winning do I get to take home the AMG flag? That itself might make it worth it..... If I do make it down I want some Sacramento Raceway commitment from both you and Rick . One other thing, will there be other E55's coming? I'm hoping some of the other 500+ rwhp cars will show - Benzgal, Sun, Bluemonster, and I think MJ50 if I'm not mistaken. It would definitely make it more fun meeting and greeting all the board members I've spoken with.

Yeah, I'm sure Rick will smoke me but it will still be fun. As well as my car did it can't compete with a 722 hp beast like Ricks . If I make it we'll see what happens, winner buys the rounds afterwards .
