E55 must do mods?
E55 must do mods?
I'm picking up a E55 soon for a DD. I own a BMW M3 that is modded to the moon so I'm not looking to do anything crazy. Just wondering what are the more popular must have mods for a E55. Thx.
Pulley, tune, and Heat exchanger is what I would start off with.
Stock E55s are usually low 12's with a few factory freaks dipping into the 11s. A pulley, tune, + cooling mods will get you mid-low 11s.
I'd do the CM30 pump and the heat exchanger before anything else. Then do a dyno-tuned ecu/pulley...
Who is a Stage 1 + cooling that is is the mid-low 11's? The mid to low 11 E55's that I know of are mostly all at least a Stage 2-3?

Wasn't there a LET stage 1 car that went 11.4?

Ahhh. Thanks fer reminding me.
Do you know if he ever did another run to back up that time? I can't even imagine what he would do with headers and an upgraded TB.
Not tryin to doubt that run or anything but there was also a Stage 1 LET car that ran a tad slower then a stock E55. Seems very inconsistent?
