Slightly off topic: What's a CTS-V cost these days?
With all the craziness @ GM, what's the CTS-V going for? What's the range for a lease? Outright purchase? On the one hand you'd think GM would do anything to move inventory. On the other hand, I'm guessing the future of the CTS-V is in jeopardy which might jack up the price since the supply is limited and future collector value might be good.
Anyone know what the word is? The CTS-V is the only car that tempts me as an option to the E55. Take that back, a 2005-6 S600 with ECU and TCU tuning also tempts me because of the crazy power and HUGE depreciation. A few short years ago the car cost well above $100k and can be had for what, high $40's now? Hard to beat.
But back to CTS-V... Any knowledge appreciated.

There are no deals on the CTS-V, at least, not around here. I'm not in the market for one, but have been shopping SUV's. While looking at a new Escalade, a local dealer had a new V in the showroom, so I asked. Sales manager admitted they would probably go 1-2K over invoice, but that's not a lot off the sticker price and GM isn't offering anything on the V, just the V-6 models.

I frequent the Cadiillac Forum. There is a dealer in Detroit who gets a lot of V's. Selling them now for Employee Pricing plus $1,000 off, only on 09's but he had a few. So if it sitckered close to $70k it would be around $61k, a $64k sticker (no Recaros) around $57-$58k. Most dealers are lucky to get any CTS-V's and wont discount much. For some reason Superior Cadillac got tons of them.

^ yep. Superior Cadillac ask for Scott ( internet sales ). Actually the 2010 are going to have a considerable increase in price. This plus the fact of low quantity will keep values up high in both new and used markets.

Superior Cadillac is my local dealer and I looked at an '09 before I bought my E55. The say they are the #1 seller and are given those that other dealers can't move. They are a bery good dealership.

They can be had for under sticker. No leasing deals. Financing isn't the greatest either. The 2010 will have a price increase, so if you want one for a good deal, now is the time to grab an '09.

Hmmm... So hope to get $25-30k trade-in on the E (probably less), then finance the $35k difference I guess. This is probably not the best time to take on debt so I'll have to find a way to stay happy in the E55. LOL. Easy to stay content with 500 lb-ft of torque and a smooth suspension. Plus where I live the Caddy dealer is also the Chevy dealer, so you get Chevy level service, not so good. I had the old CTS-V and just hated dealing with the service department. No better treatment than buying a stripped down Cobalt...
