CCW C2K on W211

***More pics on page 2***

***DISCLAIMER*** Now I know some of you guys are wondering what kind of drugs I'm on to sell my HRE's for this. Well, after being on the very lightweight renntech's for a while and going to the HRE's made me realize how much I was slowing down my car. Not too much difference in weight, but I could definitely notice it. Therefore I decided to go with a lighter wheel. CCW was one of the first companies that came into mind. With the help of Serge and John @ CCW, we got this set made. Intially, I was going to go with the LM20's, they said it wouldn't work. Then thought of the Classics, also a no-go. Then I started looking around and John suggest a one of the SP wheels. I didn't want to do a 19inch wheel again so I decided to try something new and go with this wheel. Now I know most of you guys won't like it and will think I'm crazy for this decision, but I'm really happy with them. They are uber light and I haven't ever heard of any CCW wheels failing, EVER. Good and bad comment are more then welcome!

Wassup ladies! As some of you guys know, I recently sold my HRE's to look for something a lil more performance oriented. Well here they are. Didn't take long at all to get these. Thanks to Serge @ HYEVON Motors, John @ CCW, and Edison @HMS for all the help in getting these into my hands and then on the car!

EDIT: Cliff Notes

CCW C2K

I'll have more pics for you guys tomorrow or the day after. Car is way too dirty for me to post pics.

Here are 2 pics of my old set up for those of you that think I'm on crack...

Great choice man!!! John and Chip @ CCW are awesome to deal with. I have been having CCW make me wheels for about 10 years now and I have had about 10 sets made for various cars and projects from street to drag packages. Never ever had 1 problem or failure and same here NEVER heard of one anywhere either. Look forward to c'ing the pics on the car overall. This was my exact idea I have been toying with, staying 18's and ccw's with some Nitto Invo tires. Post em up man and congrats

+2...First, great choice in wheels. Second, great choice in wheels.

I've had 3 sets of wheels from CCW and have not only been greatly impressed by the products but also the customer service. John will not put a wheel on your car that isn't right for your car and he will not cut corners.

Can't wait to see more pics!

Looks awesome Sun!!! I think you made a great choice knowing performance is high on your list. If you don't mind me asking, what was weight difference between your HRE's and CCW's?

Sorry if I will sound like a total Douche bag, but I personally, again sorry, don't feel this wheels, your previous wheels were x10 better, to me they look too much jdm. Don't get me wrong, I like your car, just not feeling wheels.

Thanks fer all the comments thus far. When I got the wheels, I knew it wouldn't be for everyone. All good though as I'm the one living with it! They are great at what they were made for. Light & Strong!

I wish buddy. The only thing I have "up my sleeve" is the ccw drag package. I don't have any plans to add anymore hardware to the motor. I just want a new PB next time out...

I have to ATTEMPT to keep up with Alan somehow!

Just my humble opinion. Nothing against those who use it. I just think it opens up another completely different ball game...

1. you are on crack for selling the M40s, IMO they are the BEST looking wheel on an E55
2. CCWs look good and you can not go wrong with them as far as performance and quality goes.

I was contemplating on getting the Classics -

Hot Hot Hot! LOOKS AWESOME! John @CCW was a total pleasureto do business with. He gave me a tour of the whole facility one day after walking in off the street to ask a few questions. John dropped what he was doing & spent 1/2 hour showing me the entire manufacturing process. I ordered my SP500s the same day.
Good to hear about these positive experiences in a world full of people & businesses who don't give a f*ck about service & integrity.

CCW FTW!

He left the HRE Monoblok family due to weight issues. The monos for benzes are made from a different mold than the ones that go on the Pcars and Bimmers. EG: my wheels (19's) weigh 21 and 24 lbs (19x8.5 and 19x11) but Suns 19x9's and 19x10's weighed about 27lbs and 28 lbs. HRE developed the Monoblok for Benzes with the dealer in mind. They were thinking more about dealer sales and that means customers that dont watch over the roads as well as the members here. It meant they were going after everday drivers of Benzes. So HRE developed a heavy duty version for the Benz bolt pattern so there would be less chances of bends and breaks on a much heavier line of cars. I got this info from the National Sales Director Guy Atherton when I was thinking of putting some Mono's on my Benz back in the day.

Sun can you take more shots of the entire car and not just close ups?

haters crazy
Nice wheels The HRE monoblocks look better though

I'd just like to add that I have had CCW send me the wrong offset wheel, then wrong spacer, and then a spacer without a lip so mounting is a PITA. They have offered to correct it if I ship the wheels back to them. Customer service is good and they make some nice wheels.
