Triple.Sevens

I just picked up my 2006 E55 yesterday and am eager for mods. I've seen a few members here with black grills. How did you guys do that? The only ones I see for sale have the CL mega logo in the middle of it. I want the regular one but black. My buddy at a car shop said if you paint it the chrome underneath will make it prone to chip. Just wondering you you guys did it. Thanks for any help and I love this car!!

Many of the members get them off ebay. Others get them painted at a body shop. Good luck in your search and congrats on the car!

painted mine, but it chips... i would love to get a flat black black one on ebay, but havent seen any lately
