speaker crackling
Anyone ever replace the center dash speaker(s)?
I have one that seems to crackle a bit playing certain music.
also,How does this part of the dash dissassemble?

03-04 cover removal differs in that two retainer tabs need to be released with screwdriver above AC vents.

Carefully pry cover off with wedge or screwdriver starting at 11 and 1 o-clock positions if you need to replace speaker - part #1698201802 (for comparison shopping, parts.com $65.55). If you hear buzzing noise, this is resolved by installing felt to underside of cover. If you want a copy of the WIS to remove cover and DTB to resolve various interior noises PM your email address.
