Since you're getting quotes, I'm guessing you wont be doing the work yourself? DIY would be the only way I would see this as maybe economical.

It also looks like there is suspension damage, and where did the SC belt go?

On the plus side, I've got a spare OEM HE that you can buy if you'd like.

Good luck. But I think it was a mistake. Maybe get your 7.5k back by parting it out like others have suggested.

E55 AMG
As a guy who restores motorcycle for fun, that project will cost far more than it will return. But it might be a bunch of fun to repair.

A perfect way to loose money. Part it out. Once repaired it will never be the same, and it will cost more than a clean title car once you are done fixing it.

Lose it even...even if you repair the car for under $10k (which isn't happening), there is NO WAY you will get 17.5k for a car w/salvage history. HORRIBLE BUY. I used to be a car dealer and wouldn't have touched that car for a penny more then $2500.

2005 BLK/BLK E-Double Nickel.
through it all.... it can be fixed, but must be done properly

i have an OEM front bumper reinforcement and an OEM left side fender(which is currently listed on Ebay).... PM me if you are interested, I am forced to give you a good package deal, because, your going to need more than a front clip brother....
Heres a little useful info
-H/E is a heat exchanger that will not come with most w211 clips(might as well get a cooling package).
-Also your radiator options are only limited to E55 and E320diesel.
-Radiator supports are 100% interchangeable
-A/C condensers and electrical fans are 100% interchangeable
-hood, and front bumper reinforcement are also 100% interchangeable.
-if your headlight brackets are broken, dealer sells a headlight repair kit which will save you $$$....

BTW r u Jamaican????

+1 bigtime ... and dont forget all the extra time you will lose will getting the car fixed. Maybe a good project for the OP but never for me.

Opportunity cost of money for time lost is huge in my book plus you will never be able to sell it for what you put into it due to the titling issues; congrats on your keeper
