I miss living in Texas... although MIR is fantastic...
I sourced some DRs for Saturday...now its getting even more exciting. Should have a couple of 11s crossfires there (not mine, i'm fat)...hell if the stars align we could break the non-NOS record for SRT6's...
I'm pumped for saturday...but not pumped for the drive... haha.

I heard you can't run cars with delay boxes or trans brakes though. Gotta foot brake it. I live exactly 14 minutes from there.

Very Nice...It was always a toss up for us as to where to go, living in NOVA and all...Probably went near MIR for the AMA motocross more than to the track...
Guess they probably got a lower insurance premium for not allowing transbrakes etc...Gotta keep the really fast cars away a little bit...

Has anyone ever tried to run 285/35/18 drag radials in the rear of a 211..?? I'm thinking about keeping my OE rims and throwing some Nitto or BFG's on the rears...Seems 285/35 is about it...

Weather
It now looks like rain friday night and a crappy day on Saturday. If it rains Friday and is damp and humid Saturday will they switch the date to Sunday. Several of us a coming from NY/NJ area.

Yea they changed the forecast yesterday. Before then they were saying it would be perfect. I will make the decision tonight or tomorrow after I see if they change the forecast again. If they still call for bad weather saturday we may push it back to sunday or just cancel

ok well the ccw drag pack got here yesterday and Props to John @ CCW for the quick turn around !!!!! Car got into a lil accident today but should not effect performance .
Saturday im in for sure but sunday is iffy especially if its fishing weather !!!! If a no go im hitting Atco one day during the week .

Weather report now shows a 70% chance of rain/snow for Saturday . Will someone make an official decision about whether we are running or not today? I was taking off at lunch today to get the car loaded and head up there. Anyone have a sugesstion?

check Atco's schedule. I think when I checked it last that they were only open this weekend and next weekend...no more weekdays this winter.

Due to weather, this weekend's track rental is cancelled. If we have enough interest we may try to do a rental next sunday weather dependent (MIR is not available next sat). If you are interested in that please respond. It will be the last shot at a rental this season at MIR.

The weather news sucks however big applaud to Ahmad for organizing and working this event for all of us...alas the weather is one thing we cannot persuade, buy, or tamper with...I was really looking forward to running....MT drag radials to arrive tomorrow mounted on 9.5"x16" CCWs (John made me the exact same e55 setup but with spacers and longer lug bolts to acomodate my sl55)
I am in for next Sunday or whenever you can get the track Ahmad...even if it's just a few of us out there....I will run this car down the 1320!
