FS: E55 Headers

Shorty style headers that bolt into the factory location using all the factory equipment.
They are stainless steel that were custom built, They have ceramic coated inside and out and have not been used since the coating was applied, The coating is good for up too 2000 degree's and the manufacture data show that you can expect 80 to 100 degrees LOWER underhood temps! This coating is not just pretty paint, it is designed to keep the heat in the header and out of the engine bay, This coating will help make more power than just the header alone. I know stainless looks pretty but if your looking for function or form than this is the header for you.
The header has an egt bung so you can monitor exhaust gas temperature to aid in tuning, It has a removable plug for when want to add the gauge.
I'm asking 950.00+ shipping

quick question as I just got an e55,do our cars have cats in the headers? and will these cause a check engine light?

one more,is that o2 bung supposed to see only one runner?is the stock car like that? Sorry for all the questions but I really might buy these after I get my car tuned on the dyno to see what they give over a pulley and tune.

edit nevermind about the bung,just reread the post and its for the egt's

no cats are not in the headers, they are right after the headers and they bolt on to the headers.

Just so every one knows, If I dont have an offer by friday I'll be putting these on the car. I really want to use them I just cant afford a tune and headers right now and figure its safer to get the tune.

Skratch,

I think you would definitely be better off getting the headers before the tune. Do yourself a favor and avoid paying for multiple tunes, in the end it all adds up.

Bump from the dead

So there coming up for sale again, This time they have been used since the pic was taken so expect were and tear, I also wrapped them in thermal wrap which is hard on the coating but all and all they still held up very nice. I'll take 650.00+ shipping The reason I'm selling is that I'm having LT made.
Now I like numbers and data to justify the purchase, Here what I can tell you, immediately after I put them on I noticed a seat of the pants feel that was but I'm a track guy and I know the drill, feels great but you find quickly when you look at your slip that your butt-o-meter needs calibrated. Well this time I was very surprised with the results!

Slip reads
before headers /after headers
11 sep 2009 _/12 oct 2009
rt___.117 ======.018
60___ 1.89 ======2.02
330_ _5.273 ====5.230
1/8 __8.013=====7.868

Headers

Hi, I am interested in the headers also. Am I correct that these are a direct bolt-in without and cutting or welding? Did you do you own installation or is professional installation needed?
Thanks,
Aaron

Correct they are I direct bolt on. I installed them my self in the garage with no lift and basic tools. was it easy? No. but it can be done.
