I'm leaning towards the VR08's because I haven't seen many E's with them and they are a bit more aggressive... the VR05's are clean as hell...

Seen the 5's many times on a buddies E350- looks amazing--- cant go wrong with either look.

VR 05, that way you don't have to trip on one 5star pointing one way and the other pointing the other way, might not make a difference to you, but I'm just a weirdo like that, but eithier way is win.

I went through the same dilemma.... but after "trying" it on the E, IMO, VR08 doesn't flow w/ the W211 curve.... so I went w/ VR05. VR08 does look good on SL, though (which what actually made me fall in love w/ VIP Modular).

I agree w/ others... for silver, go w/ gunmetal look. If you have dark color and want a classy look, go w/ brushed aluminum.

 

As it happens, I made up my mind. Wheels took about 4 wks to get here which would have been fine except that, at the time I ordered them both of my rear tires were toast. Literally three days after I made the order a piece of my back rear tread came loose. I didn't get a flat but I couldn't drive on it. I installed the



and all the way home...parked it in the garage and began the long *** 3+ weeks before the new shoes would arrive. I drove my wifes



during that time which isn't so bad...but after the second week I was going crazy. (She has a lifted Jeep Wrangler that she likes to drive around with the doors off)

Now as for which I selected...I butchered up this picture to help me get an idea of what I was in for on the VR08's...
