i think that the best bet is to have the largest reservoir volume as possible, but the easiest way to control voltage to control flow is to use a boost-a-pump

http://www.kennebell.net/accessories...boostapump.htm

this varies voltage based on boost, and is user adjustable
worth a look for someone wanting to attempt to tune the flow rate based on load.

shardul, please forgive the dumb a$$ questions, but could you please explain "splitting the system" and how would I benefit by going with the Meziere WP136 pump over the Johnson CM30 pump on a stock '06 E55 without the split system as there's almost a $400.00 difference between the 2 pumps. I'm not a racer but want the Beast to be consistently reliable as I do enjoy the occassional application of whoop a$$.

That pump linked a few posts ago was a joke. Both the Meziere 136 and Johnson pump should be under $200, so the price difference is minimal. Splitting the system helps prevent the intercooler coolant from heating up by being mixed with your regualr coolant. Here is a thread from the DIY sticky: https://mbworld.org/forums/w211-amg/...nger-prep.html

Yeah, the link I posted was for the 55GPM pump! haha. You can get the Meziere WP136 for $190.00 from Summit racing. Shardul said make sure you get the AN connectors. The WP136 pumps 20GPM. I was just having fun.

I run one cm30 pump witha rear mounted tank, split coolant systems and the car runs much better and much more consistent then before the split. i def recommend this to anyone who has an e55
