Taking the plunge on an E55
One that has my interest is a 2005 in Houston w/ 44K miles. Anyone have advice on getting a pre-purchase inspection?
Also found one that is CPO 2006 at a dealer, similar miles but asking 7,500 more....worth it for 1 MY and CPO?

Ask the important questions as a consumer: How many miles more does the CPO offer? and that covers...? I purchased the Chrysler Protection Plan, if they don't come down on the 2006, PM or e-mail me. I'll give you the guy's name. I GUARANTEE, you will not find the 5/70K mile warranty for a lower price. I did my due-diligence, and this guy beat Chrysler's Corporate price by at least $500! If you don't already know from doing your research on the board, this is the next best warranty to the CPO warranty. Daimler still owns I believe 20% of Chrysler, and it almost seems this warranty was "tailored" to our cars. Read some of the experiences, they are very forgiving with mods, and there have been some "hefty" repairs approved with this warranty. Regardless, KNOW, the ball is in your court with the economic conditions, and if they don't come down, there are a lot of "NICE" cars for sale right now!
I'm in no big hurry - so I can look for the right car and the right deal.
I've never been one for extended warranties but it sounds like the risk is pretty high with these so I'll look for CPO or take the advised Chrysler route.
