I've had this red warning lamp come up several times this month. Took it to the dealership twice and they said they couldn't find anything wrong. I've seen them hook the car up to the computer and check the codes but the car didn't log the event. I've check the oil level and it reads ok. The dealership said to bring it back when it happens again but the red lamp goes off after about a minute. I keep on sending them pictures of the event when it happens. What can I do? There is definitely something wrong like a malfunctioning oil level sensor.

 

pictures will help, as will asking for some support from MB service reps. This is a simple thing to document, especially when the car says to shut down. The code should be in the system as well. I've never heard of a red warning popping up without the car recording it.
