E55 to E63 steering wheel w/paddles swap?
Has anyone swapped the E55 to E63 steering wheel?
Plug-n-play for 2006?
Car is a 2006 E55.
After reading a few of the swap posts and Steve of MbenzNL steering wheel swap. I have already searched and pm’d a few members already with no definitive results.

Not sure that you can I was told the only issue would be the airbag. I know someone that installs the paddles on various MB steering wheels and believe he has the back half of the E55 steering wheel with paddles on it. Sadly he's on vacation until Monday but if you can't find any answers until then I can ask when I talk to him what the issues are. He's an MB shop foreman so he should be a solid resource just fyi.

Do you want the whole steeringwheel or just the paddles? There is a post in the DIY thread detailing how to fit the paddles to an E55. I followed his (BrianS) guidlines and I was able to fit the E63 paddles on my stock E55 steeringwheel on the first try and everything is tight and works properly. If you take your time, it's a relatively straight forward job.

Yes, I would change the airbag, switches and steering wheel... those buttons are much better than ours
