i got rid to the secondary cats and the resonators. I put a 3 inch straight pipe instead, it was a bad decision because i lost low end torque, both the banks were independent.
now i have put a x pipe in the system and the car has regained the torque.
you can remove the cats and factory H pipe but make sure you put a x pipe as close to the headers as possible.

I just had my secondary cats and resonator removed on Monday. I honestly don't feel any difference but the sound is a vast improvement. Definitely more growl coming out the back but still quiet inside the cabin. I decided against the x and h pipes and ran 3" straight pipes. I was beating my buddy with a stock E55 at the track on Tuesday so I'm not worried about "losing" anything.
im just wondering why the x pipe should be closer to the headers.
does it really make more tq if they are closer to the front?
im running a catless system and my xpipe is near the back, in place of the resonators.
is there anything wrong with having it that way?

stock H pipe is below the "headers" and right before the secondary cats. I cut my secondaries off in between the H pipe and cats. And put in straights. No loss in torque. Im putting down over 550 rwt with my mods
