Dealer wants to do a hard rest on ECU - will it erase tune?

I have my car in the dealer for some work and they want to do a hard reset and asked me to contact LET (the tuner) to see if they can get into the engine management w/o it impacting or erasing the tune. Does anyone know the answer to this? They want to do this because of a misfire, think the car is running lean perhaps. thanks.

I would Call LET and ask what the dealer can do. If the dealer does what you call a hard reset, I would say it would clean the tune off.. If the dealer wants to just go in with star and look around, then you should be fine..

Big difference from looking verses hard reset..
