Warranty Status?
Hey all,
Given all the chaos over Chrysler and GM, what's the word on the cheapest warranty available these days? I'm trying to insure a 2006 CLK350 with around 46k miles on the clock. I'm open to a short (1 year) warranty if the price is low enough; otherwise it'd be great to know how much a 100k warranty is going for.
Thanks in advance,
Skeeter

MB,
Turned out to be a trivial fix, under $1k. I still have time under the statute of limitations to go after MBUSA and Renntech, so we'll see. I might just leave it at that, or on the other hand I might want to make this as ugly a process for them as they made it for me
, strictly out of the desire that they not do this to the next guy.
Both were at fault: MB for claiming a rear subframe broke b/c a few extra HP on a 450+ HP car, and Renntech for telling me, IN WRITING, that they'd 'take care of me' if ever such a situation arose, only to tell me I was on my own when it hit the fan... I specifically decided NOT to do the mod out of fear of such an eventuality, only to be talked into it by being told by a high-up @ Renntech that they work closely with MBUSA and wold 'take care of me' if anything went wrong.
All is well with the E these days so I'm not as fired up as I was before this was resolved. So I'll wait for a lull in my schedule and decide whether or not to file a claim then.
Now, back on topic: Somebody, anybody, PLEASE help me find the lowest cost for a reliable warranty on an '06 CLK350. PLEASE, PRETTY PLEASE... I'm begging here![bow](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/bowdown.gif)

Anyone? Anyone?![Confused](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/confused.gif)
This is a great community, I'm sure someone here knows where to buy a solid, inexpensive warranty in the wake of Chrysler's implosion, etc.
So PLEASE get me the info: 2006 CLK350, 45k miles.
Winner gets the gift of my eternal gratitude AND the knowledge that he helped out his fellow man.
Let's go now; put her in gear, folks![drive](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/driving.gif)

Thanks Dgreen!
Any idea if they are still selling Chrysler warranties in the wake of their reorg? Does one buy through Chrysler or GM Financial?
Thanks!
