MPG ??? Highway

I am just curious what some of you guys are getting... ON my trip from SD to LA = 100miles --- I got 23.6mpg @ 70mph. My car is nearly stock -- K&N - and X-pipe.

not a bad result. I am usually getting 21.7mpg, but I can't drive with a same speed all the time. I tried to drive 200 miles with cruise control and had 24 mpg. You got good results. Nothing spectacular, but it is V8 after all.

I drive approx 200 miles a day, mostly straight unimpeded highway. I average around 21 tops at 75-80mph. Drops straight to 14 around town. All told, I am happy.

200 miles per day? Damn, that is some miles.

I get under 20 on the highway and usually cruise at 80

Used to be more, I drive a beater most of the time, trying to find a little 968 or 944S2 as a replacement beater. But, my last Acura RL only gave me 21 tops MPG as well and it had no guts (AWD=heavy). I'm very happy with the MPG I'm getting with the Beast.

Highway @ 75-80 with occasional burst of right foot I average 23mpg.
I've taken a trip and set the cruise @ 75 and got 24.3mpg.

Same here. The 63's with the 7-speed can do nice mpg on the freeway.

I just drove from Anaheim to Seattle and I averaged just over 21mpg. About 21.3 I think. My car is mostly stock except for headers and no cats. I think the lack of cats actually hurt my mileage though.

Thanks for the feedback -- I know this is an E55 forum -- but great thing about our car is --- you can still appreciate it when you are cruising!! I know it would be lots of fun to drive +150mph and get 11mpg but tickets and insurance.... Sometimes its good to watch the mpg gauge instead of the mph.

Best I've gotten on a two hour all interstate drive was 24.9. And I even had some heavy passing action on the trip...I was amazed.

well- i will be getting some mods but i doubt -- and they might help with some of the restriction -- headers should help ... pulley should make no difference because I would be cruising -- SC should not be engaging
