Painting break calipers

Just picked up an 09 E63 and was wondering if i should have the break calipers painted red? One of my friends told me all high end sports cars have the calipers painted red. any thoughts? is it easy to do?

Don't paint your calipers Red, it's an AMG !!! AMG do not come with red calipers, only silver. Unless it's a SLS, and their not sold in the US yet, and their orange. If you still want to paint them, then get them sand blasted, then powder coat in the color of your choosing. I wouldn't paint them, personally, but hey it's your car. Do what pleases you.

Change is cool, they are OEM Brembo brakes. Brembo's are usually red although you can order other colors when doing BBK upgrades. Porsche (997TT) are stock red and the PCCB's are yellow.

Its very easy to have done- the color depends on your car's color IMHO.

To each his own..

The previous owner has these painted in red (not the best pics but should give you some idea):

Kind of dark red and also dirty on the photos, but I myself would go for a little brighter color if to be redone:

Yellow brake calipers, then smoke your taillights so it doesn't clash...oh and get rid of the orange side markers while you are at it
