Discount OEM Supplier?
Hey guys! Just moved to Missouri where they require a front license plate--booo! The stealer wanted $168 + tax for theirs--BOOOO! AND they were on to me when I immediately asked for the part number. They now decline to give part numbers out to counteract the frugal (sane) people like me.
I've done some searches on this forum, but haven't found a link where I can get a perminant MB (or similar quality) front bracket. I've also found a few .coms that have a few OEM parts, but not a complete line. Is there an discount OEM supplier available for MB with a good selection? Specifically for that *#%^ front license bracket?

The number on mine is A211 885 17 81. Sorry to here the stealership there is shady, mine will give the bracket for free and even drilled the holes for free when I asked. Of course I put a euro plate on but they didn't care. Just call the sales department and say you are (you make your own name) body shop and need a whole sale cost for this part. Then tell them you are sending a guy down to get it and see if that works. Or go to another MB dealer if one is not to far away!

i saw my dealer doing it free too -- almost broke my heart -- watching them bust out a drill and going to town on this nice bumper ... I think the police will not hassle me too much -- never had problems in the past -- cops like punks and rice rockets

Awesome, thanks, guys. I don't know if "Bimmer" is a bad word around here, but bimmer.com has an outstanding selection of parts. I think most of it is OEM. They wanted like $128 for the OEM front bracket shipped, which MB was asking $168 + tax for locally. Not as cheap as I had hoped, but a step in the right direction. Also, I will definitely try to get them to put it on for free. There has to at least be a guilt trip there if they don't :-P

But parts.com has it for $96.60. Put your year make and model in and type the PN as 2118851781. When searching parts.com remove the A and the spaces and your good to go.
