E55k AMG
HELP Keyless Go

Went for a drive in my e55 parked it up, got back in tried starting it with the keyless go but it was as if the battery was dead it would not start it starts with the key now but does not start anymore with the keyless go HELP PLEASE

yes it locks and unlocks it does everything but when you try starting it it turns once and stops just cuts out.

I would replace the key battery first. If its not strong enough, it may be cutting out the signal, especially if it works for a split second. The signal to unlock the doors is a quick blast of a signal, where as the keyless go need a constant signal for a few seconds. Plus the new battery from Walmart is $2.

with my other key it says battery low but with this it does not say nothing at all just cuts out i will try to change the battery tomorrow and see what happens. Im from UK so its ASDA for me

Good luck! Keyless go is more trouble then its worth as the years go on.

i remember reading in the manual that there is a little red light on the key around the lock button that will flash everytime you arm/disarm the car regardless of if you push the button or use the keyless feature... if i remember correctly, it also stated that the pattern of light flashes would change if the battery was almost exhausted... i agree with the above poster and would definately try to change the battery first...

Question

On the flip side of this, my keyless go works but the key will not work in the ignition switch - the dash says Key Not Recognized. Do I need a new key? Unfortunately the car only came with one.....
