Hey Guys ... i picked up an e55 less then a month ago and have a question about the features..
#1 oem ipod adapter is installed however it sounds distant ? i have to turn the volume all the way up to hear it, connection seems right as it appears in my cluster and connects via ipod & Iphone ( i tried on several different ipods and iphones) determined its the car.

I was looking to install the bluetooth puck, however i am told that my car is missing the hardware ? I have the option for the phone, but when i press the command button it states phone not installed ?
My question is, is this software that the dealer can activate ? or is this a kit that I have to buy ?

Try turning the volume up all the way on your ipod.

Need a lot of wiring to make this possible. There are lots of threads and confusing stuff about this.

Try turning the volume up all the way on your ipod.

When my ipod / iphone is plugged it, all controls are run through car. If i was on aux port that would be the case but no go...
I tried to search but come up empty handed...

YachtMaster did the full blown iPod install and there is a DIY thread in the DIY sticky at the top of the page. I believe there is an MB factory part for an inline amp that helps equalize volume levels and bring bass back? Check out the thread.
