Here are your last two time slips
No dates ,no location, no time.
Looks like you cut the 10 second slip? All the info on the slip is relavant and helps verify the pass so it is critical to include a slip in the way it comes out of the printer.

we need to come up with a new forum rule, anyone attempting to break a record must have the run on video which captures the launch, the full run with the time in the same frame. This will end all questions. What do you guys think?

I dunno about a vid for proof but a full time slip and a vid if you can would be a good start...also other forum witnesses help as well. hrmmm looks like ricker's doing some CSI Houston detective work...some careful insight indeed

Congrats on hitting 10's without n2o, but of all the dragstrips it had to be done at a one that gives you half a slip. A milestone is a milestone and I don't doubt the run but it'd look alot better on a full slip that you can keep as a personal trophy.

Here is how HRP does the slips ands I assume other NHRA Sanctioned tracks.. These tracks play by the rules.. I have had slips taken from me in other cars and they don`t mess around ..
I know a lot of times posted on this forum and others are from NON Sanctioned tracks but that is another argument..
The left 5 slips are 5 of my best runs from HRP in the Cl55 last fall.. Yes, I like the left lane.. The one slip I have recently from the right lane is posted on the far right.. Tried the right lane,, spun and just drove slow down the track to keep from heating the car up.. They tear or cut the slips in half in a random manner and give one to each racer.. If there is no racer in one lane,, they give you the whole slip.. I hav saved hundreds of slips from both lanes over the years and this method has never changed..

One more thing - the default saying on an average Friday night is "Friday Night Safe Street night", but when sanctioned events like NMRA come through they change the title. And in case it comes up ... you will see O'reilly on both RL timeslips.. O'reilly sponsers the right lane so it will always be on RL passes.
For the serious doubter - Houston Raceway Park can be reached at (281) 383-7223 - I am sure they can verify car #160 as being the 10 sec benz that the time slip booth lady gave grief to for running so fast..

are they to cheap to have a carbon copy slip at Sacramento I believe their method is the winner gets the white copy and the loser gets the yellow copy, either way there are two copies.

There's no doubt HRP is top notch and Tag ran this time, IMO. In the end its plain and simple, we have what we have and we run at that place. Not everyone has a sanctioned top notch drag strip in their backyard.
I actually spoke with Sacramento's manager and asked about the accuracy of the track. It was recently calibrated and they do hold NHRA events here. The last time I was out they had the NHRA official there to witness a pass (qualifying) on a 5.8 second dragster. I'm not quite sure how all this NHRA rule stuff works but that's what I was told.
Either way Tag it was a great run and don't let anyone take that away from you. You were the first and that's a great accomplishment.
BTW...Turbo lou was brought up and I'm curious what that guy is running these days.

It al depends on who is running the timeslip booth. Friday nights at HRP give the options of displaying or not displaying times when you make a pass. They organize it by lanes and cut all time slips in half , otherwise if they give a full timeslip to both lanes it defeats the purpose of not displaying the times and they are not exactly precise when they split the slips..

It's about protecting the racers who are out there testing and tuning their cars who don't want their times revealed to anyone else but themselves. If you give a copy with both lanes then that defeats the purpose. They only do that Friday nights. Any other day or event 2 copies are given...

I was there with friends and watched the run, he chose to not have the scoreboard post his time. Sneaky Anyway, I knew it was a fast run when I saw it. And his slip is the way you get them here so f'ing get over it. Congrats on the run Tag

That's a great option! I wish Sacramento had the same thing because I don't want everyone and their mother knowing what I ran. Does HRP have TNT on a weekly basis all through winter? You guys should organize a private rental so Tag could really see what it could do. I'm sure it will go much faster and quicker if he didn't have to worry about getting the boot.

Wow, Blazeone saw Tag`s car run..
HRP has a lane option to show times or not and that can be hard to define at times.. It changes with how many cars are there.. First 2-4 lanes can show times and 5-6 don`t.. 8-9 are for slick only cars..
Some of us have been calling HRP for two weeks now about track rental.. The price is reasonable and they have a ton of days open per the manager but the owner makes the final call. It seems he has not been anxious to call back or return calls for a couple grand sale..lol Going to keep blowing the phone up though.. The rules do change . when you rent.. We can also rent Hennesey`s 1/4 track on the West side of town.. May call there next.
