E55 Spare Question
I purchased my E55 a few weeks ago and loving it. I was driving it recent and heard a thump coming from the trunk area when hitting large bumps. I went in to inspect and found that the spare was not secured down and neither was the air pump. I pulled everything out and found the part that secures the tire down but cant figure out what secures the form tray which holds the air pump. Are there supposed to be two form trays? One seams to go over the spare and then the larger one that holds the air pump goes over that correct? Is there something that holds down the second form tray to secure the air pump?

Oh by the way I took the car in for service today and was hoping to get them to change my IC pump.... No go. Didnt find anything wrong with the stock one. He did say that there have been issues with the stock IC pump and the new one is almost bullet proof.

Awesome I really appreciate that. Well I have all those parts so that is a good thing. I see how to secure the tire and arrange the parts. Is there anything that secures the top foam tray down? Mine is justing floating on top of the tray underneath and the tire. Once in a while I hear a thud in the trunk when I hit a decent bump which I am sure it that tray since the pump is pretty heavy.
