Great run! I watched the video and compared it to Wayne's run. Wayne's run was more close-up and you can see the NOS spray before the car launched but here I don't see it at all. The video was shaking all over the place but was steady as the car launched all the way to the finish line.

I clearly did not see any signs of NOS but just dont' understand the shaky hand that all of a sudden became steady. Not trying to be Sherlock but was just admiring the video before I got a headache from the shaking.

also...The guy with the video sounded bored with the results. If he was a friend of Alan's, he should have been screaming with excitement!

You must be talking about the purge from Waynes run. You know that you dont see the nitrous being used during the run right? You can also just purge somewhere that noone can see. Some people can tell by the sound of the engine when nitrous is being used.

we all knew it was just a matter of da until we saw some non-n2o e55's this year...and there should be a few more 10second non-n2o 55's before winter is over. however, i don't konw if they'll be as fast as yours!!!

yep and that definitely wasn't a n2o pass (although the newer progressive systems are much harder to hear)!

It takes a trained ear to hear it. It's hard to explain. I'm not saying Alan was using nitrous on his runs if that's what you are implying.

There are two different videos one that my son shot and one that I believe Andrew shot for Alan. In the video that my son shot he said "bad run for both" because I had just run a 11.9 and he couldn't see that Alan had just run a 10.87, he said that he thought Alan ran a 11.87 because of the pole being in the way. In the video that Andrew shot you can clearly see Alan's time. btw Andrew was standing next to my son (who was freezing, it was 64 )so that is most likely the reason why Andrew was shaking.

Congrats again Alan, your car is truly one of the most impressive E55s out there and although many may be surprised at how fast it is, I'm really not. You have done everything right from the beginning. Like Juicee mentioned earlier, your dedication, your commitment, and the LOTs of research time you invested when modding your car are key to your success .

Don't forget that we're not done yet. We need to get hold of the all time record now 10.50s here we come....

Congratz buddy!! Very strong 55 you have their, I don't think you're spraying one bit, it's just a fast near Sea level track w/great air... Roger Ver S65 w/stg 2 RENN you pointed out ran 11.06 @ 128.7 (made 29.501 mph in the back half, faster than any other S65 or ANY 65 for that matter in the entire USA w/ECU airbox drag rads ONLY) http://www.dragtimes.com/Mercedes-Be...lip-10181.html

Ben Treynor ran his SL65 w/ECU & Drag rads 11.38 @ 127.2mph http://www.dragtimes.com/Mercedes-Be...slip-5708.html (no splits were given) both these cars used 18" Drag rads vs your 16"s so I think w/TQ multiplication & lighter 16"s you'd easily see faster traps/lower ET's from these models @ Sacramento.

NOT trying to take anything away from your accomplishment, just expanding on your 1st bringing up Roger Ver S65 running high traps their as well & hopefully to quell ANY futher Nitrous

Well I can say it again Congrats Alan, it's nice to see the twin running strong. It wasn't on the video but I ran down the bleachers and called him before he got his slip to tell him. Let's just say a lot of yelling was going on haha.

It's been proven twice just this weekend that an all boost E55 can get into the 10s. Before a lot claimed Alan to be running n2o, and still do but lets not forget the tuners ability to dial these cars in more effectively. I'm just a stage 2 but I gain 28mph on the back half of the track and I have yet to fully open up the car so she can be faster up top. I hope more realize this is possible for their cars and not be so worried as to what size shot he is running. Just a little hard work and some passion like Alan with whatever tuner you pick and you can do it!

Let's see an M6 do that!

And to think Brabus charges $100Ks to slip a V12TT in the engine bay of a E/CLS....adding 100s of lbs to the nose of the vehicle....when all they needed to do was throw a couple of parts on the stock motor....
