Hey I'm a new member to this forum...and this is my little black beast...
Hey fellow MBWorld fanatics,
My name is Mark, and i just got my 2005 E55amg with 41k 3 months ago and loving it...nice ride and fast. I was pretty impressed in the acceleration, coming out of a custom widebody Audi S4tt 6-speed to this, and the car is very quick in response for an automatic...the car was OEM but my addiction to make it my own look is insane...lol...so you will see me illustrate my progress and pics of the vehicle. So far all i have done is tint the windows, paint the tail lights and swap the grill to a CL type grill...
I went on the wrong forum according to someone and I posted pics on here https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...y-e55-amg.html <---thats how i originally had the car...
Mods to come:
*Blackout all chrome on vehicle
*Lower airmatic suspension (being done this week)
*HID Fogs
*LED Replacement Bulbs everywhere
*Carbon fiber trunk spoiler
*Carbon fiber roof spoiler
*Carbon fiber front lip (On order)
*Carbon fiber rear diffuser (Will be ordering soon)
*20 inch Modular society custom wheels with CF water print lips (Soon to be ordered)
*Wrapping OEM Chrome Grill in CF not the rear piece(painted black) just the front chrome section(Hoping to be done tomorrow, CL type grill hasnt grown on me...)
*Painting inside of headlight Black (delayed)
And these are only some of the mods being done in the next 3 months, hopefully I will be done in the next 6-12 months on the looks...then will start on the motor...

lol naw im 5'11" an weigh 225 im a pretty big muscular dude...lmao people see me get out of this car all blacked out and think im either a cop or a gangsta/drug dealer lol...

Paceman Lookin good. I'm new with an E55 also. I see "emoving" asked about the city lights and I'm wondering also. What I did for now is just install the E63 city bulb because it's a little whiter than the stock bulb - I already did the HID fog lights, and LED licence plate bulbs. You did is nice touch with the lights.

Gorgeous black beast! Love the smoked out tail lights with the white strips untouched, that's how I have mine. The red just doesn't do a black E55 any justice!

Do you have a list of all the different LED's that you needed in order to change them all out?
I would like to do this to my car & it would be nice to order all the correct stuff at one time.

Sorry for the late reply, thanks for the props dude...I painted the trims in a paint booth that i have access to, the pain in the *** was removing all of them...lol...but its soo worth it, as far as bulbs they are all LEDs inside out including the trunk. PM me and I'll let you know the info on the LEDs
, and the grill was a bigger pain in the *** then the trims...I took the grill off and then split the grill in 2 cause the are truly 2 parts, the rear plastic trim i sanded down to bare plastic and the front piece I had to strip it to bare plastic also then sanded it and primed both separate, then i layed 4 coats of flat black paint and layed to dry...very simple and effective for that unique look, im currently working on another grill i have and im trying to cover the chrome section by itself in carbon fiber...
