Shopping for '09 e63 in So Cal

Hi All,
New to the board...long time BMW owner looking to make the jump to AMG. Started looking at '07 e63s and then heard about the big discounts on new '09s and have changed my focus in that direction. I've read here that some have received discounts from $25k to $30k and was wondering if anyone in So Cal has received those type of discounts and can refer me to their dealer/salesperson so I can avoid some haggling with a dealer that might not be willing to play ball.

I look forward to getting the car and participating in your forum here as I have on Bimmerfest.com for many years.

Thanks for any tips/ advice that you have for a MB newbie.

Search autotrader. There are several 09s with several hundred miles listed in high 60s low 70s. In a similar position, was looking at 07s low miles CPO listed in high 50s but the 09s for $10k more becomes appealing. Or just drive a harder bargain on 07s.

Thanks for the info. The cheapest new/almost new 09 I can find within 500 miles of OC is for 70k and it is black with cashmere interior. Ideally, I'm looking for silver or white with black interior. No other E63s are in that price range and all the major dealers are just advertising MSRP. I've found an 07 which looks pretty good, but I'm thinking that for 10k more I can get a new '09 so I'm going to further explore that route.

Expand the search to nationally. May have to ship the right car or at least use their pricing as leverage on a local car.
