***NEW DATE*** Famoso Raceway Private Track Rental - NOW 01/30/2010***
#401
I remember Marcus Frost mentioned this a while back and he was absolutely correct. Humidity plays a huge role on how our FI engines will perform. I witnessed this first hand at my last 2 track days at Sac. My 60' times were spot on to my other runs that were ran in lower humidity vs my runs in higher humidity, I was .08-.1 slower in the higher humidity.
I can't wait to see what your car will do when you hit up Famoso. Given the dyno numbers you posted and the drag setup you'll be running I would expect your car to run 10's if you could put down the power...which you will. It might take you a few runs to find your sweet spot or rpm range at take off but once you find it..... If your running a stock differential I would highly recommend towing your car to the strip otherwise you might end up having it towed home.

Whatever we're tuning!
FLAME THE DEADBEATS!!!!
Anyone that signs up for an event has the responsibility to pay to reserve a spot. If you cannot make it to the event(I understand ***** happens) it will be up to the person dropping out to find someone else to take their place unless Mo or whomever is running the rental has a waiting list.
This is why there aren't many people willing to risk setting up a track rental.
2 people who stand out and put their a55es on the line are Mo and Ahmad!
Props men!!!
Mo you deserve better than this so give them 48 hrs to step up and pay(you are being TOO NICE as usual) or begin the FLAMING of these DEADBEATS!!!!!
Enough is enough!

Fast cars in general....
Mo, thanks for putting another awesome track event.
I had a great time blasting down the track and talking to
other great people.
Keep up the good work and I look forward to attend more
track events in the future.

A Prius because I'm green
Is the differential under warranty? I have the chrysler extended plan, I wonder if they'd cover replacing it with the quiafe, mine clearly is in need of some work!

Thanks Greg, I enjoyed talking to you and watching your beast run.... by the way, what was your best time? Did you ever reach that 11.2x you were looking for? I believe that is the west coast record for 100% stock viper

Fast cars in general....
speed was 130.92mph. My car is not stock and it has basic bolt
ons like headers, exhaust and PCM (ECU) which adds about 50
more crank HP hence the 4-5mph more than stock viper.
Again, thanks for the great event and I can't wait to run again
at your event.

Sun, I am not confident that your car will hit 10s with Quaife and slightly better conditions than we had on Saturday. As Alan has mentioned before, it is only a matter of time.... and I'm honestly glad I'll be there to witness it
Your launch was very incredibly smooth.... almost perfect: no traction loss yet still very aggressive It reminds a lot of Ahmad's launch

I think I had great traction thanks to my friends who helped me at the burnout box. They helped me out ALOT. I just have to practice and play around with the launch a lil more and HOPEFULLY, I can get my 60 ft times down to the 1.5's like Ahmad and Alan!

in all seriousness, i've been spoiled by this private track rental and have seen the light. the ability to test and tune on your own time, without waiting in line and even back to back runs if wanted, is so worth the price of admission! again, i can't wait for the next one and thank you again for organizing this!

Mo, When are you going to start the Sacramento thread? The weather will be warming up soon and records still need to be broken, lets get the ball rolling. I'll start a thread and hopefully you'll take over and do your thing.
