Lowered, Brabus boot spolier and smoked lights!!!
Hi, just wanted to share a messed up story of how car got lowered!!!.... the story begins....
Original height...
![](http://img121.imageshack.us/img121/1180/16122009404z.jpg)
Ordered a set a lowering links from Mike aka Godfather![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Managed to fit the the front set myself but the back link was a nightmare, couldnt get the car high enough so I had to give the car to a local garage....
When I went to pick her up......!!

OMG !!!!!
![](http://img689.imageshack.us/img689/5369/17122009411.jpg)
The story goes that they broke the height level sensor, my car was out of use for 3 days till they ordered the part in (cost £150!!!!! - tiny peice of plastic!!!)
After all the car now sits low....

![](http://img6.imageshack.us/img6/7007/19122009421.jpg)
Even now the car is too low..its going back in on tuesday to get slightly raised, its a shame really, look quite kool but not a nice ride at all!
Now all I need is a car wash!!

LOOKS GREAT I like it,
but unfortunately not practical mate and a heavy handed mechanic will snap the rear sensor arm
, so why should you have to pay? Its best to use another tool like a flat screw driver behind the arm to stop it from bending when pushing on the replacement link.
just from my experiences, I was lowered very similar to yours and had problems:
Cracked my front splitter on a kerb in a car park, forgot how low car was and how high kerbs are![EEK!](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif)
realised that the car will lowers (I think a further 20mm) when you go over 70mph (stability concern and car bottoming out over bumps)
front tyres worn until thread showing, about an inch flat inside edge after 500 miles of driving (really frustrating as the rest of the tread was almost new). Back tyres also suffered.

Wow that is a shame. At least they paid for the repairs but it shouldn't of happened in the 1st place. They should follow the instructions closely. Any how to raise it up is really simple. Follow this exactly. Once the vehicle is in the air pop off just the sway bar side of the Link. I know its tight but you can actually rotate it while the other side is attached to the sensor. With 4 full counter clockwise turns, making the Link longer, make sure the sensor arm is pointing up as it says in the instructions, and re attach the sway bar side. That should be right where you wanna be!!! Shouldn't take more then 10 min.![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Once the vehicle is at the height you want, your gonna love it!!!!

go under and look at air bags on your rear shocks, you may see some oil on the outside of the strut assembly. if the shocks go down too low they leak some oil. try not to drive the car until you raise the car a bit.

like I said, shoot for the 24-25" range from the ground to top of wheel well.
Thats how mine is and it rides a hair firmer than stock, but I like it like that.
See sig for looks
