Thanks for the fellowship and I wish you all a Merry Christmas and prosperous new year.

Careful with the religious jokes, the j/k doesn't exactly change what was said.

Although I do make WASP jokes. And my spouse makes Jewish jokes. It's a way to make light of some of your own culture's idiosyncrasies.
Happy Holidays!
p.s., I will say this and then let it rest: you guys brought up the thing about being an outsider, etc.. Of course you're outsiders, Utah is the birthplace of the Church of LDS. But by talking about it, and Jim making certain that we know he's not Mormon thru his avatar, etc., then it becomes kind of like you are treating Mormonism as some sort of disease. Them vs you, etc.. Does it matter so much that you are Mormon or not? It sounds as though you're implying that there's something wrong with Mormonism.
It's like me being sure to say: yeah, I'm from Rome but I'm not Roman Catholic, or I'm from Abu Dhabi, but not Muslim, or Tel Aviv but not Jewish, etc.. It's saying that you are not one of "them." It's equally inappropriate.
Anyway, it's a good time of the year to be conscious of these sort of things and reflect! Again, cheers and happy holidays to all!!

Wow, just got done putting all the presents under the tree after the kids finally fell asleep and decided to jump on line real quick! What is amazing is there are 900+ members on the board right now! That is a true community! Happy Holidays to all!

Of course, you're quite right. And the reality is that very few LDS are actually polygamous. Freedom of religion is vital to a democracy.

I know a lot of people in Utah, both LDS and non-LDS, and it's definitely a different atmosphere. Never lived there, but there seems to be a lot of stereotypes and judgments based around an area that is dominated by one religion, both by members of the religion and those that aren't.
Oh well.... Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, however you say it, may you have a safe and wonderful day and a Happy New Year.
