2005 E320 CDI, 2011 ML350 4Matic

Hey guys I have an 05 W211 CDI and my brother has the same car only 06. When I reset the service reminder after oil change mine says 10,000 miles till next. My brothers 06 says 12,000 miles. Why are they different?
