E55 or E63, what is better?!
E55 or E63, pros and cons of both. Not sure which one to get, seems as though the E55 might feel "seat of the pants" faster than the E63.
Also any problems when it comes to breakdowns and repairs, any options to stay away from, i.e. Dynamic seats, distronic, etc.
Thanks in advance.

IMHO, '08 E63 < '05 E55 < '10 E63

Personally, I have an E55 and love it. Never driven an E63 and don't feel the need.
If you're interested in modding for more power, the answer is very simple. E55.
, I did a search, didn't come up, was like WTF there has to be 20 threads dedicated to this, I think my search is not working?! trust me after years on a Saab forum I'd be pissed about a nube asking what upgrades they should do to a Viggen when there are already 30 threads dedicated to it.......
so I hear yaWith these cars its like comparing Jessica Alba or Jessica Biel, you aren't doing bad with either one, but I'd like to know which one is crazier in bed....or who's going to flip out on me when I come home late, know what I'm sayin.

If you do research, the 07 is about low $40K
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...b&cardist=2287
This one still has bumper to bumper warranty, current mileage 41K
Warranty expire in Oct28 2010. Pano-roof....
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...standard=false
THis one is $42999 before even negociating the price !
Mileage: 36K for 3 years old car, 12K/year is very normal usage.
What are you smoking to think low $50k ? do research first.

As you said, do your research.....
And as Sack says, don't buy a POS.

Looks very clean (almost too clean) but make sure there is no paintwork and take it to a body shop if you are really interested in the car. Don't let them pick the shop. Use the VIN and get someone to run the service history for you, were all the oil changes done on time? Don't act excited about the car when you see it and make no offer on your initial visit. It looks like they have had this car for awhile so perhaps a couple of grand more and you will have a nice car assuming your research checks out. Last thought on this car, it is priced somewhat under the market, why is this car dealer willing to let it go? Has to be a reason, these guys don't like to lose money.
Remember there are tons of cars out there and the Mercedes dealer can give you a CPO warranty to 100K miles and some peace of mind. Have you looked for cars at www.mercedes.com? Prices there are high but you can make a good deal with the market the way it is. It's a hassle but these are the best cars.
Good luck finding the right one.

fwiw, research doesn't mean just looking at all cars and prices across the board. It means zeroing in on one or two possibilities and then researching those specific cars. After all, you are buying a specific car, a one up, and not just E63s in general.
You get what you pay for. There's no cheap lunch in the world unless you like eating crap and/or getting food poisoning down the road.
p.s., Sack, I mentioned the accidents with both those cars. It was obvious why they are less than retail. And the Luxury Ride one for sale will have a story, too.

Whichever way you choose, just know that Benz is about to go twin turb in about a year or so.
Will change the whole game of resale for your 63 if you go that way.
Just my 2 Euros.
