Suspension dropped my E63
not really... the car sat for over a week and i came to find it like this. Does your E63 suspension sag after the car sits for a while?

Yup. Mine sits a lil lower than normal after being parked overnight. There was a time where I left the car untouched for 5 days and it sank like that. Turned on the car and it came back up to my normal setting.
No need to worry!

I keep waiting to find mine like that after coming home from being at work for 30-90 days.
I thought I read that it wasn't normal?
Mine hasn't done it, but I expect it it will sometime soon. It's an 09 so I'll give it time.

That's how it starts, as a slow leak. That is your first warning of imminent failure.
If your car leaks down over night your air compressor has to work over time to make up for the leak, this causes the pump relay to over heat and shortens the life of the compressor too. Keep this in mind cause the leak will not heal it's self, and will only get worse and may cause the added expense of a new compressor and relay. Air Matic failure spells flatbed tow.
Your car slammed in the morning is NOT normal.

yea, i went to the dealer about this and they said it is normal. this doesn't make sense to me and it does worry me. They said it is within limits of air bleeding off, otherwise, the error message would show up on the dash.
I have 1.5 yr and 20K left on my warranty. as time nears the end, i will make a stink about it and get the whole system swapped out.
as for the dropping, it does noticeable drop over night. prolly a 1/2" or so. leave it for 3 days or so and its down to the level i posted above.

Mine does that only if I dont use it for a week or so, but definitely not overnight. Mine has been sitting for 2 mos for winter storage and is not even that low......
I'd have it checked out, let us know what comes out of it, good luck.

I leave my E for 2 wks and no droping at all about 2 months ago.
Now it sits in the garage for 5 days still no droping.

If I can shed some light on this matter, I too had the same exact thing happen on my 07 E63, after sitting for several days. After starting the car, everything goes back to normal. I contacted my shop foreman at ASC in Arlington. Made him aware of the issue, and he said that this is no normal, for your suspension to bottom out like that. The system is made to level out, all for corners. If your rear suspension is completely collapsed, you need to replace your airmatic struts. Each corner of the car, has a ride height sensor, so that the car knows everything is level. The problem is that your aircompressor will restore that car, to it's proper ride height. But since you have a leak somewhere, the aircompressor will work overtime, to keep air in the struts via the air tank. This causing it to eventually burn up. My tech hooked my car up to their SDS (Star Diagnostic System) and the read the codes, basically said the their is a leak in the strut, so the aircompressor had to work, a little harder to fill the strut and tank. This isn't a cheap fix either, especially if your car isn't under warranty. If the problem is not addressed, you will eventually have a complete suspension collapse, with the aircompressor unable to fill the air struts. This may cause you to be stranded somewhere, because your tires will probably rub, on the inside of the fenderwell. I have seen some S Class, with a complete suspension collapse, and they have to be brought in on a flatbed truck. This looks really cool lowered, but the suspension has a serious problem. Have it addressed ASAP. Here is a website for the air struts http://www.arnottindustries.com/part...18_pid134.html I hope that this helps you out, it's an option, compared to the stealerships price.
