Question Quick question on Command

I'm about to pull the trigger on a command unit out of an '07 CLS. Can someone with first hand knowledge confirm that it will be a direct plug in to my '03? My car has the tele-aid system, if that make any difference.

I did a search, but could not find a definitive answer in the threads I reviewed.

Thanks,
M

Actually, from what I have been told there were two setups in 2003. Nav ready cars and cars that were not prewired for nav. If your car is prewired it will work. Call the tech at MB, there is a way to tell from what radio is in the car. They look the same but the model number when you pull it our should tell you. The dealer can cross reference it to see if the car is set up. If not, you would have to wire the whole car. The 04s and up were all deffinetly pre wired. The 03 Presidents edition got MB to start pre-wiring.

Thanks E! I knew it would not be that simple. I don't plan on using the MB nav. I just want the command as part of my ipod/phone integration.
