Yep. They're making it sound like this storm will not be measured in inches.

hah, snow during winter, what a surprise! People in many countries have snow for 5-6 months a year and live with it,RWD cars with winter tires work fine.

It's not about the cars, the amount of snow, or how often it happens; it's about the efficiency of the snow removal (which in my time in this area has been pretty bad). It's been getting better, but it really can't help that all the local counties have already blown through their winter budget.

I wasn't serious, local counties really don't have any experience with snow removal. It will be total mess on Saturday and super-bowl Sunday..

My bad - there was supposed to be a thumbs up after my statement to let all know that I wasn't trying to throw down - just vent about the snow removal situation here (grew up in Chicago - never knew snow days existed until I moved to the Mid-Atlantic).

Amen to this!! The whole budget for snow removal is a complete joke. I had to ditch my car in town last Saturday because I literally could not move. I mean it was a whopper of a storm... 3" of fvkin snow. It is a complete and utter joke. Sorry for the tangent, and am looking forward to next Saturday.

Winter budget... Phrrtft! It cause these idiots don't monitor the outsource ploweres just sitting around for 6-8 hours waiting for something to start. Complete waste of money.

I for one am happy for the change! Don't have to get salt everywhere and was wondering if you can even Dyno with wet tires.

Sorry, I meant happy for the change of date on our Tune Day. As far as the roads, I have a LX470, so I rarely stay home, I like the snow. Its these 'other' guys just driving around like lunatics and going just too fast to stop or turn.

BTW- Are you going to Tune day or MIR at the end of the month? If so, I'll catch up with you then.

no way any RWD car is moving out there in the snow. best to have at least one winter weather vehicle. In my case as long as I put anti-gel in the diesel (although it doesn't get so cold here for the fuel to gel for the most part) it'll do snow duty in the winter, long bed to move stuff around all year, and can tow my racecar all year ....heck I was thinking about putting a plow up front and some chains on the tires; problem is I have crappy HT tires instead of AT or MT (like pitbulls)...ussually carry tow straps in the bed just in case.

Luckily, until this past weekend, I have never had much trouble with my rear wheel drive cars in the snow. Usually enough clearing has been done and as long as I am judicious in my use of the right pedal everything is pretty smooth. If it is a really heavy snow, though I will drive a work truck or my wife's suv...ughhh. I sold my LR D-90 this past summer, and wish I had kept it now.

NOOOOO!!!! I can't make it next weekend! Anybody in the same boat? Votes to reschedule? I haven't ever had any of my cars dynoed before -

And as for the snow, the GL550 (4matic) eats it up. It's fun buzzing by (with a wide berth) pretty much everyone.

I would be down with the following weekend but t looks like Eurocharged will be in Houston. I havent had a chance to even try to get the pulley on and figure out where to move/add idler pulleys to get a better wrap around the pulley and then figure out what belt length I need. Also need to weld bigger ilet/outlet onto my HE and run bigger hose. So much to do and this snow is killing me!

I would be up for putting it off at well. Got the urge to throw on 82mm TB and MBH longtubes before the tune. It will be a beyotch trying to get that all done before this weekend.

This snow is just ridiculous!

Definitely going to be 3 feet or more when it's all over. Especially since it's supposed to keep snowing into tonight. I highly doubt I'm getting out of my neighborhood until Tuesday-Wednesday, and even then, they're calling for more snow on both Tuesday-Wednesday. It may be better to push it back to another weekend.

Absolutly beautiful dog! Unfortunatly, one of my sons is highly allergic so she has been thinking about a Wheaton Terrier, a Labrodoodle, or a Goldendoodle since they are hypoallergenic.
