To split or not to split??

About to finally install goodies on the newly rebuilt motor. I have read a lot and cant come up with a straight answer. I am upgrading the pump and heat exchanger as well as adding spacers in the upper and lower and using the PTE thermostat mod. Is it still advisable to split the IC system with a pump and reservoir in the trunk? If so can someone please tell me approximately what the cost I should expect for the split system including parts and labor (and preferably where to buy the parts). Thanks!

I'm going to split mine. Just make sure you add some volume to the system with a reservoir of some kind. Either in the rear or in the engine bay up top.

Here are some links. All the fast E55's (as far as I know) are splitting the system. Only makes sense.
