I have posted this in the general tech talk forum but I thing it is more appropriate to have it post here.

I have a 2005 E55 with dynamic xenon headlights (lights turn with the steering). I replaced them with the newer headlights (2007-2009) that have the above feature.

Unfortunately the headlight became totally static. That means that I have lost both the auto leveling and the light turning features. The local dealer has no clue

Do I need to install extra components? Any information in this regards will be appreciated.

i dont think ur lights turn with the steering but they do adjust up & down! I gutted mine & only took the inside of the newer ones 4 the look cause the plug was different & didnt want to cut any wires thats my 1 2 on this good luck tho!

This is a known feature. It is called dynamic headlight. Depending on your speed the light turns with the steering up to a maximum of 15 degrees. That is in addition to the up and down motion (auto leveling).

your idea of taking the inside only is a smart one .
