Vredesteins or Toyos?
I've been pretty pleased with the tires so far, especially since they were only $796 delivered and have worn well. As they've aged, they are a bit loud and I do notice that they aren't very smooth in the morning until they get up to temp.
Anyway, in my search I see that a lot of you are fans of the Toyo T1R. I had those once before on an e36 M3 and wasn't too impressed...the set I had seemed to have a soft sidewall in the sense that the turn-in was slow, as if the car had to lean and take a set when changing directions. Other sets I had on that car were more responsive, albeit with perhaps a bit less ultimate grip.
I'm willing to be open-minded though...so have any of you experienced both on your E55? Which had did you think had a better ride? Which was quieter?
It looks like I can get a set of T1Rs for slighly more money, negligible difference versus the Vreds.
Thanks in advance for you opinions.
