Pump under driver side bumper near fender

Anybody know what this pump does. It's running overtime, think it's for the driver side airmatic but anybody confirm ?

Whirring sound in the a.m. Not the loud, clug clug pump which I believe is the brake system

You are correct. It is the Airmatic pump that feeds the whole system. If it's working overtime the pump is going bad or you have a leaking strut.

Yes, this is the air compresor for the Airmatic.
Becarefull, because if you hear it running frequently maybe you have a leak and you probably would have to change that air compresor as well as the strut where the leak is.

This is the weak part in our cars.

there are two pumps in that area. one is your AIR pump, which sounds like a vacuum cleaner and always turns on at cold start. the other is the AIRmatic compressor, which has already been stated.
