Hit 160 today and I could have kept on going!
Hey guys. I hit 160 today on the freeway for about 30 seconds and it felt great! My previous high was 140 for about 10 seconds, but it felts so good this time! The thing is though, I did not have pedal full floored so I think it easily could have done 180 to 200! I thought these cars are restricted to like 155 or something? Let me know.

At those speeds, the speedo is off by 10MPH at least since it's analog dial. You were most likely in the high 140s or just hit 155MPH. Cool though, gotta watch out.

160 mph for 30 seconds is about 1.3 miles... pretty long time- Once I hit 189 in the M6 I knew that was crazy.

look at the topgun runs. the hp req to hit 200 in a mile is astonishing. im thinking your speedo may be a tad off. car has limiter set at 155 i believe.
pulleyt and tunes will get you to high speed faster but you are gonna need a jet to get that car to 200mph!

whoa on the freeway! were you on I-10 in AZ? last I was there they had periodic speed cameras...I'd be nervous to do over 120 - 130 on US highways....autobahn with the 5 diagonal lovely lines in a circle displayed on the overhead sign...and it's on!

I70 Stock no limiter to or wind noise to report. If hadn’t lost my other ball at 140 I would gone faster.

I do not want to disclose where this particular stretch of freeway is, but lets just say I know where all the cops are at and with radar I felt somewhat safe! It is amazing how quiet it is at 160, I mean the car does start to make a little bit of noise from all the wind and resistance, but at no point did I feel worried that the car was going to fall into a bunch of pieces like a beater going 75. Anyways, some times you need to feed your need for speed!

i have gone over 180mph and the car still pulls strong. it was me that let go.
once i have 18" wheels with proper tires i will def attempt a 200mph run

soulsearcher with his ttsl600 is shooting for 200mph and he has a massive amount of hp over the e55. but best of luck with it

it may be hard in an SLK. my car makes 500whp/535wtq on a dynojet and drag times calculates my crank hp at 604 using 1/4 mile time, speed and weight.
i def know my car has enough power to get there as i have been within 15-17mph of 200 on several occasions. i will def do a video when i go for the 200 run

I wana go! I don't have enough horses to get to there yet.. I hit 190 and my car pretty much stop. That was 190 via the escort radar using GPS. The dealer is going to have a fit the next time its in for service. They were already ranting and raving about 160 when my car was stock.
