Spark plug and Wire questions
So, 71k miles on the beast and time to change out the plugs and wires. After a few searches, looks like most are going with the Bosch or NGK plugs and Magnacore or EvoSport wires.
After a little price researching, the more economical option is the bosch plugs with the Magnacore wires...will end up being roughly half the cost of the NGK plugs with the EvoSport wires.
Costs I have found are the following. If you know of a cheaper spot, please let me know:
16 Bosch FR6MPP332 - 114.56
Magnacore Wires - 169.43
---------------------------
326.56
16 NGK Plugs ILFR6A - 164.80
EvoSport Wires - 469
------------------------------
633.80
I am not opposed to spending the money to get a good product, but is the latter option twice as good as the cheaper option or at better in some way? Will i have any performance or durability gains with going with the more expensive solution?

No one has any thoughts or comments? Not even the EvoSport dealers trying to promote their products? No one has a recommendation for a cheaper spot?

Why are you replacing your stock wires? Unless you've measured each wire's resistance and it no longer is within specification, aftermarket wires are simply a waste of money. Moreover, you can replace individual stock wires as needed. In modern ignition systems as found on our cars, ignition wires are most definitely not a weak link and aftermarket wires are just hype.
As for plugs, you won't go wrong with either the factory NGKs or the Bosch plugs.

Thanks for responding! I was kinda "monkey see, monkey do" when it came to replacing the wires. For the searches I had done on spark plugs, it appeared that those replacing the plugs also replaced the wires.

I did just the plugs, and I had almost 120k miles on my S55. The wires were still good, the dealer will tell you to replace them too - but unless there is a problem or they are very worn, I wouldn't worry about it.
