First Service That I Performed Myself on 06 E55
I just finished servicing some items on my 06 E55 with 40,000 miles with the help of a friend.
Here's what I did tonight:
1) Oil change (through the drain plug method [thankfully a good friend of mine has a lift] and replaced both plugs with new plugs. Used ~8.5 quarts of oil.
2) Supercharge belt
3) Air filters
4) Cabin air filter
I am planning on doing the following things when I can get my vehicle back to my friend's lift sometime in the next couple of weeks.
1) Transmission fluid/filter replacement/flush
2) Brake rotors/pads/sensors/fluid flush
3) Spark plugs/wires (possibly)
Anything else that I am missing? It was scheduled for service G.
I was really surprised how "clean" (not as in dirty, but smooth/aerodynamic) the underside of the car is! I was also surprised as to how very easy it was to change the supercharger belt (thanks to the help of this forum)! The oil change was pretty easy as well! Having not used that type of filter before, I wasn't exactly sure as to how the o-rings fit onto the filter assembly but once I removed the old filter assembly it was very easy to figure out! The supercharge belt replacement seems to have made a big improvement on the performance of the vehicle. It definitely responds much quicker!
Are there any good threads on the transmission flush (I want to change the filter, fluid, gaskets, etc.) and also, what is the torque required on the transmission bolts? Does the drain plug(s) have to be replaced when removed like the oil drain plugs do?
Also, does anyone know what service comes after service G on an 06 E55 with 40,000 miles? I was playing around with the Service Reminder to reset it and I accidentally reset it twice. I was trying to make it cycle to G again so I could reset it once more, but I could never get it to go past service D...
I did manage to write down all of the US Service items that were included for service G. Is there any place I can look these up? Items that were listed were: US Service 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 12, 13, 17, and 20. Additional Work US Service 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 17, and 20.

the only things that come to mind would be replacing the drive belt, rear diff fluid change, and power steering flush. i would wait on the plugs.

I was reading your thread, and notice another thread that information on tranny flush.

Are there any DIYs for the rear diff fluid change and power steering flush? Are these two items recommended at 40,000 miles or??? If not, are these fairly easy to do? Are any parts (other then the fluid) required for the rear diff fluid change? What about the power steering flush?
When you say drive belt, I assume you mean the serpentine belt? Is that recommended at 40,000 as well? I have already read through the serpentine belt replacement DIY... Looks almost as easy as the supercharge belt...
Why do you recommend waiting on the plugs?
Also, when I say recommended, I don't mean a factory recommendation, but more so recommendations/consensus from forum members in order to keep the vehicle running at it's best and reducing the chances of complications later on "down the road." I would much rather spend money as I go along doing preventative maintenance to help prevent any major complications later on...

Are there any DIY guides for the power steering flush and rear differential fluid changes? I searched the 211 forum but couldn't really find any DIY articles for these...
