Flyby video of E55/CLS55 with Long tube headers

Here is two video of the my brothers CLS55 fitted with our E55/CLS55 long tube headers. The car has a res-delete and not primary cats. The secondary cats are still on the car. Along with stock mufflers. These are the cars only HP mods

Hey. That car sounds bad ***! What would I have to do to make my stock e55 sound like that and with the long tube headers what kind of gains would I see? Are they better than say eurocharged or evosport or floored fab headers?

The CLS has a different muffler on it I think. However opening up the flow and removing some of the restrictions will yield a throatier sound.

I cant comment on other companies headers. Something I can tell you about ours is we have a money back guarantee If you dont make 40whp. However gains have been see beyond that vs the stock manifolds. In fact on an E55 we tested we saw gains of about 50whp over a set of shorty headers.
here is the link to that
http://www.dynocompnow.com/2009/07/d...e-headers.html

*Here are some of the fetures in the MBH Long Tubes:
*321 US Stainless flanges
*304 US Stainless runners
*100% Tig welded, All runners are back purged welded
*Pyramid style merge collector.
*CAD design
*Dyno proven gains
*Lifetime warranty. These things are built to last
*All gaskets included
*Set of Vband clamps
*Test pipes included.

This is what our long tubes made over a set of shorty headers

You prob have a Tune or something and you don't know about it. Are you the first owner?

My friend Josh (member) Had a tune and didnt know it until he showed up for a dyno day. If you question or think you got a tune. Just get a dyno. that will tell the tail.

You most likely have never read any of my post. I bought my car brand new in Dec of 04 as a christmas present to myself. I am only owner and I have all of my registrations to prove it currently in my glove box! as many members can verify. If it sounds like I'm barking at you don't take it personal. I'm just tired of people thinking or saying that "I probably don't know if there is a tune and am I the first owner blah blah blah blah" I've run 11.7x twice and after watching video's of my run I think the car has 11.6x in it and if I put some skinnies up front and swap out our heavy as battery to a 6 pounder and maybe with Alan driving it could run 11.5x. Alan consistantly runs 1.58-1.59 60' times and to date my best 60' is 1.72. In theory if I can run a 1.65 60' that should put me in the 11.6x range as the car sits with no other mods other than drag radials.

ok I'm off my soap box, sorry Chris for the hi jack

sounds like my car only i havent gotten to run it WOT like that. when i do lookout! i can honestly say i was very impressed by the quality of these headers. when they arrived at the shop everyone was like like "yea yea headers. seen one, seen them all" until they came out of the box. next thing u know people were inspecting every angle and quite impressed. they are a work of art. and the dyno numbers that i put out this week will hopefully back that up. thanks again MBH

Hey MBH. I want to see what my car is putting down stock and something to reference when I mod in the future. Also, I had a previous problem which I thought my IC pump was bad, but Mercedes said it was working fine and never changed it, so I am sure if I am lacking power the dyno will show it. Where are you guys located and what is the cost to get it done? I have never done it before so I am not used to how it works, thanks.

Monday - Friday. You tell me whats best for you. Just let me know when you can do it.The most you will wait is an hour. Thats if some one is one the dyno, or some tuning is being done. We would love to have you come on in. I would like to be the first to welcome you to the Arizona AMG family.

I'll be in the Phoenix/Gilbert/Scottsdale area in a couple weeks (although not with the car). Maybe I'll stop by and shoot the breeze.

That sounds amazing, and I am reading that right, you picked up 50 hp over a set of shorty headers? That is really impressive.

cool. Have not seen a custom e55 in person so it should be cool to see some mods and maybe the sound of the car.
