E63 Front Conversion With Parktronic?

I've been thinking about an E63 front conversion lately since I think the E63 front looks quite aggressive compared to the E55's. I've done my search and although it is possible to do an E63 conversion with a Parktronic equiped E55, I couldn't figure out if you need new sensors of if you just needed a new harness?

Does anyone have a definitive answer for this? If a whole new front parktronic system is needed I think I will skip the conversion. Anyone have any answers so I can forward them to a bodyshop?? Thanks!!

EDIT: I think I may have found the answer and it seems like the sensors need to be somehow retrofitted onto the bumper. Still would like to get feedback on those who have done it and whether or not it cost an arm and a leg to retro the sensors...

The best guy to do this conversion is Steve@MBenzNL..... the guy is a walking encyclopedia when it comes to this stuff

From what I've read, Parktronic will be problamatic throughout the conversion.... I would not trust any bodyshop to do the work. Hunt for a very knowledgeable place or contact Steve directly.... he comes to the states often

The shop I usually go to has already done one e63 conversion but that was without the parktronic. I'm trying to see if anyone can show me how theirs was done so I bring up that idea to the shop.

The E55 and E63 Parktronic systems are completely different so you can not just retrofit the sensors. It is possible to replace the harness, control unit, and the sensors. Another consideration is that if you replace the Parktronic system, you must also do the E63 rear bumper conversion as the E63 sensors do not work with the E55 rear bumper. I am pretty sure Steve has done this before but it is far from cheap as it is an extensive retrofit to make it all work.
