A trivial question for all
For some odd reason, a friend approached me with this challenge. His stock E350 (2008) vs my stock E55. He wil be side by side with me on the next lane. In my lane, 3 car length ahead there's another vehicle. If all 3 of us are traveling at 60mph, and both me and the E350 punch it at the same time, while the vehicle 3 car length ahead of me remains at 60mph, he's saying I wouldn't be able to overtake him.
What do you guys think?
This seems like more of a bench racing to me as a real test of this on the highways would be far too dangerous. I think there wouldn't be enough distance to pass. What do you guys think? And for the math gurus here, can someone break this scenerio down mathematically?
