AFTERMARKET PULLY FAILURES !!

Ok, so who has had one fail, what was the root cause and what was the outcome of the failure. I'm about to install one on my car but right now I'm **** scared to put it on my car. We dont need to go into vendor names just what the problem was.

Why are you trying to stir the pot? If you've already purchased one, what difference does it make? Your title makes it sound like there's an epic rash of pulley failures out there.

I'm not trying to stir the pot at all thats why i said no vendor names need to be brought up, I know of a few that have had failures and ended up in crank shaft replacements, but the answer that I'm looking for, or should I say "hoping" for is most if not all of them have been installation Problems. I guess im trying to make myself feel good about putting it on. Sorry for asking a bloody question that I think is important, I really dont want to be replacing my Crank on my car that has 30,000 miles.

imho, stick with asp pulleys (or makers that use an oem pulley as a base), a new crank bolt, and follow mb's specified installation procedure and you'll be fine.

Smartest move I have seen in years. Eurocharged teaming up with ASP. Good call guys!

Keep an eye on it for sure. She wobbles at all, just chuck it and snag another one. Not worth crank damage.

The one I saw personally was an install issue. The keyway wasnt aligned properly and then the torque bolt was installed. You could see the damage to the pulley and keyway when it was removed.
