Is your w211 AMG your DD?

my 63 is for now. i don't have many options yet as im almost out the military and i gotta drive back home, so im with one car as of now.

but once i get back home and out the army next week, im looking for a 4 or 6 cyl truck to beat around and drive everyday when im doing errands and stuff, or go to school, so no worries about scratches and others, granted i have the "rockstar parking" aka handicap parking.

so....is your your dd? and if not then what is your DD? and how often do you drive your AMG? and how many miles usually?

E55
I use mine as my daily as well as other in this forum. I drive 60miles a day. I paid 60k for my e55 4 years ago and it depreciated over half the price since then. Might as well enjoy it everyday. Never had a problem..

Not mine. I ride the RS4 in pretty much all the time, a 2007 4cyl Accord some time and the 55 on weekends. Right now it is getting several cosmetic things done. 20" Iforged, black grill, Renntech ELM and debating on getting the calipers done and what color. The wife is in a A6 V8 S-Line as a DD.

My E55 is my daily driver as well. I own other vehicles, but none are quite as fun to drive on a daily basis as it is.

Weekend play car - Daily is a Camry Hybrid (you'd be surprised at how much more you appreciate the 55/63 after spending the week in a Hybrid).

Bought the 55 for something fast and comfortable for "road trips" to the parents and brother (Philly and CT). Surprise, Surprise, I have been seeing them ALOT more every since I got the car - (I put 12,000 miles on in first 6 months).

I use my 07 Suburban LTZ as my daily driver during the winter months. The snow makes huge pothole which kill the E55 wheels. On nice days, I definitely get in her and drive like a new owner! Wife drives a CLK vert for daily driver.

I drive mine daily, although work is only less than 2 miles away. I haven't warmed up the engine yet and I'm already at the office, which kinda sucks. Have had it for about a year now and managed to only put 4K miles on it.

The E55 is my DD but I only drive about 200-400 miles per month and have a 4WD for snow days.

Mine has been for the last 3 years and 46K miles. Normal servicing only - best car I've ever been fortunate enough to own and drive.

After putting 10K on her in the first month and a half of ownership I decided I'd better slow down. So I usually daily the WS6 which I still enjoy driving and drive the E55 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Helps me really look forward to the weekend and keeps door dings and miles off the E55 during the week because of my shi*** parking situation at work and the gym.

Sold - 05' E55
It's not used as a DD for the winter months. The car was originally from TX and and it's pretty clean and I'm trying to keep it that way. Weather man says we're getting three days of rain this weekend which if that's the case I'll start driving it again because all the sand and salt will be washed away.
It's actually nice to take a little winter break from driving it, then you appreciate using it again.

I've had mine about 18 months. For the first 6 months, i still had my CLK cab, but never wanted to drive it anymore. Sold that to a buddy & never looked back. I use any excuse i can to get behind the wheel.

20s in the summer & Blizzaks in the winter.

Since I am self employed and do not have to leave the house I only take joy rides.. I take a quick cruise on PCH 1-2 times a week and that is about it. I take my Burb with numerous door dings to Costco and shopping centers.

it's my dd and i put 20k+ miles per year on her without a second thought. got rid of my infinity suv a few years ago cause i never drove it. however, after not having an suv for road trips, i realized i missed having one. this time i made sure it wasn't under powered like the infinity and picked up a range rover sport supercharged! now i find myself dd'ing that as much as the e55 so my milage may not accumulate so fast anymore.

I should get in nasty thread with myself about the two cars. I actually do miss the torque red light to red light, and the whine. Higher speeds prefer the 7 speed / paddles of 63. Bottom line, both are a riot to drive, hence the DD status.
