Hello all? about exhaust leak
Hello everyone,I am a newbie and I am in the process of getting a 2006 E55 with about 47K miles,under acceleration I can hear a noticeable exhaust leak,my question is the following.
Is this leak covered under the California emissions 8year/80K mile warranty?
Which dealer you guys recommend in Los Angeles area for this job(if it is covered)?

and I am learning a lot as I go ..forgot to mention I am a truck mechanic by profession and I am an X 2002 Z06 owner

I doubt the leak is covered, unless a CAT cracked or something. Odds are one of the exhaust manifolds has cracked and will need to be replaced. It's one of the stupid "should never break but always does on the E55" parts. Other parts that randomly break are the air struts, wheels(they crack), engine and trans. mounts, and the intercooler pump. Welcome to the site!

Thanks for the welcome,I guess I just have to do the job myself ...first I have to see where its coming from...if it is the manifold,from what I've read they are very expensive..if that is the case the dealer will get involved

Well it turns out the leak was coming from the VRP headers 
,just tightened the nuts and no more exhaust leak,the beast sounds great
