I usually leave mine parked, but it's got more to do with my 4/32 tread on my NT05's. Then again I'm not a huge fan of driving it in the rain anyways...Seems to rub my wax off then I can't just throw the quick detailer on

right there with you. i don't drive the E in the rain either - only time shes wet is when she is at the detail shop (AJ's in San Jose every other week) - now when I had my S4 that was a different story - that was good fun

When it rains I pull my E out of the garage and let her bath in the pure heavenly water. Of course I pull out the wash mitts and soap buckets to wash the car and then I will let the rain rinse it. Then I bring it back into the garage to dry it off.
This way I avoid the hardwater from the hose (Orange County is notorious for that).
Three neighbors saw what I was doing and after an explanation they now wash their cars when it rains too.

You guys need this http://www.detailperfection.com/standardD.php Our water is ridiculously hard here in Dallas too. This thing is like magic. Literally dries with zero spots. My detailer uses it.

It is sick, neither my 2007 nor 2009 E63 ever see rain. Chance of rain greater than 20% and the car sits in the garage. I have a beater 2000 Tundra I tool around in....

I was once told by the AMG factory that rain will not hurt the paint on these cars so they can be driven in inclement weather.

I drive my E63 in the rain all the time, it's hard not to in Virginia. But, I do take advantage of Mercedes Free car wash at the dealer.
